white light on front of apple tv flashing
The white light on the front of my apple tv just continues to flash and there is no
display on the tv

If you see a warning symbol on Apple TV - Apple Support says:
If you see a warning symbol 
while trying to update the software on your Apple TV, or see a black screen on your TV and flashing indicator light on the front of your Apple TV, contact Apple Support.
