All of a sudden, yesterday I tried sending a group text to bunch of people who have apple and android phones and the message won’t send. I also tried to send a picture to friend with an android phone and that wouldn’t send either. I’ve made sure all settings are on to send and receive from an android and I’ve deleted old message and I’ve restarted my phone and I’ve updated my phone and it still will not work. Any suggestions?

I've had "bouts" with Message Fail lasting several hours & occurring over multiple iOS updates/upgrades; All have self-resolved--AFAIK--because systematic attempts on my part DID NOT.

Select {❗️} NEVER displays option:
<Send as Text Message> But,
INSTEAD REPEATS option:
<Try Again>
I can't understand what's happening nor how/why it resolves on its' own & NOT any intervention by me.
Additionally, never shown option:
<SEND AS SMS> after Selecting ❗️
Is this the SAME Option available to choose within SETTINGS-MESSAGE?
If I've selected this, shouldn't a TEXT SEND via EITHER ROUTE?
