iPhone 13 backup to MacOS 10.13

I have an iPhone 13 running iOS 15.6.1.

My iMac (27" late 2012) is still on MacOS 10.13.6.

When I plug the iPhone in, the iMac does not seem to recognize it. It does not show up in iTunes, and of course 10.13 is prior to the move of the iPhone backups to Finder.

How can I back my iPhone up?
