M1 wifi issues

Hi guys,

At the company we have a lot of M1 mac books as wel as intel macbook.

This is whats happening:

We are experiencing a lot of issues on the wifi using the M1 macbooks. The mac are connected to the ssid but they dont have network connection. Intels on the same ssid besides it don’t experience the issue.

also switching to personal hotspot does not give them network connection, however they are connected to the hotspot. Intels connected to the same hotspot no issues.

we have tried clean instals, safe boots, taking network logs…. No clear issue so far.

We also excluded our hardware by troubleshooting it via meraki dashboard tools and scripts running on different macs.

also the M1’s have this problem at home networks and other company office networks. Also public networks give issues.

the issue also is not reproducable on demand and happens from somewhere between 1 - 10 times a day and last for about 30 mins. Reconnecting or rebooting the mac sometimes helps.

anny known issues?

Thanks!

Following. I have this on my M1 MacBook Pro at the town hall where I have frequent meetings due to my work in disability representation. My old MacBook Air (intel) could connect there to wifi with no problems, my iPhone can, but my MacBook pro M1 is constantly telling me that the password is wrong.... which is not because I share it from my iPhone, where It works
