my son has now called 911 and 999 10 times in the last three months. how do you turn off the option to call emergency from the lock screen, from the medical ID screen, and from the number pad screen? please help. so many times now the police thought i was hurting my son when all i was doing was cooking and he was playing with my phone!

We understand the concern with your son accidentally calling 911 using the Emergency SOS feature of your iPhone. You can go to Settings > Emergency SOS and toggle the two options to off. that didn't answer my question because this has nothing to do with emergency sos calling when buttons on the side are pressed. it's from the passcode screen where you can see emergency and cancel on the lower corners of the screen
You cannot remove the ability to make an emergency phone call, at least not in the United States. Best to keep your phone away
not a really helpful suggestion because my son is autistic. if you are an autism parent you would know what i mean.
If you don't want the calls being made, you need to take away the phone. You cannot turn off emergency calling from any phone; even powered old phones with no cellular plans can dial 911.
