Select photo to hide but under More button there is no Hide
I select a photo in the Library to put in my Hidden album, tap More but no Hide appears. My iPad mini is IOS 15.6.1 and already has a Hidden Album with pix in it.

On iOS 15 / iPadOS 15 the "Hide" command is still in the Share menu, not the More menu. Delete and hide photos and videos on iPhone - Apple Support (BH)
- Select the photo to hide, then tap the
button to hide the photo.
