How do I get rid of this option?
This new, Report Junk, option in Messages, is DANGEROUS. Please remove this option. I have accidentally deleted a good message and now I may not get this notification again. It just wrong. I hate it. I bet others hate it too. Can you remove it?

You will find the message you deleted in the Recently Deleted folder.

Apple added these features in response to huge outpourings of complaints about spam text messages (also the previous inability to recover deleted messages).
Lots of people were unhappy when Apple first added the confirmation to the delete function in Messages. But, now, most people are used to it. Muscle memory takes a little while to change but once it does, you'll forget you ever did anything different.
Yes, this can be the case in time, but still frustrating for an old dude dealing with cancer. I can do without any added stress. But maybe in time I will adjust. Maybe if they could switch the order of choice. Thanks
I have to echo terrible idea. What were you thinking. If I don't want messages I will block caller. It requires an extra step and I have already accidentally added texts I want to receive to junk link medical appointment reminders.
