Stolen Iphone - no longer indicating Erase Pending

My Iphone was stolen and went immediately offline before my request to lost mode and subsequently erase could be reached. So for an entire day or two - the phone status showed ‘Erase Pending’ and ‘Notification - notify when found enabled’ on Find My. However after another day, the status no longer shows Erase Pending, instead last location updated time (e.g 16min ago) and no longer can see Notification enabled to notify when found. Only option I see are Cancel Erase and Remove Device. I am still able to track the phone’s location on Find My and have not received any confirmation email that the phone was erased. What does this mean?? Thanks in advance

Hi Illlse,

Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities. If your device was stolen, here are a few things that you can do:

  1. If you lost your device, here are steps to take: If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is lost or stolen - Apple Support
  2. Seeing that the request was pending could mean that the request did not reach the device if it were offline or the battery died. You can continue to check back to see if it ever turns on.
  3. If you already created a backup, you can restore that to your new device to have access to your old data: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support

Have a great day.
