Why does Apple not know that when swimming a length and a lap are not the same thing? A lap is 2 lengths (up

Why can’t Apple figure out that a lap is not a length when swimming.

Every other fitness app for swimming knows this.

When I swim laps after entering a 25 yard length, the watch records that I swam 2 laps.

I’ve also had it record one lap and 25 yards.

It has recorded two laps (when I swam one) and the distance was 25 yards.

This is unacceptable. I can just put a different app on the watch & phone, but that should never be needed.

I swam 25 laps today. (1250 yards). That’s around 3/4 of a mile. My watch said I swam 750 yards.

It is useless for swimming compared to my 8 year old Fitbit that even let my pick the pool I was swimming. It knew the length and recorded my distance perfectly. Y
