The feature is coming in macOS 13 Ventura: macOS Ventura Preview - New Features - Apple

Photos

Duplicate detection

Photos identifies duplicates in a new sidebar item, so you can quickly clean up your library.

Ventura is set for release in October for supported Mac models.
