Cloud Music Library

There is a number of things to take into consideration. When you first subscribe to Apple Music or iTunes Match, your library is scanned to determine what tracks can be matched or need to be uploaded. The size and number of tracks being uploaded will affect time required. Also your internet speed will also influence the time required. Subsequent updates should not take long, again the size and number of uploaded tracks will affect the time.

It would depend on many factors, how fast your system is, what your bandwidth is, what proportion of the library has already been matched or uploaded, and how many changes have to be mirrored to or from the cloud.
