Icon Files on Desktop not showing the file

All Icons looks the same.

How can I fix it ?

Press Command-J, or go to View->Show View Options, and check the box for

"Show Icon Preview":

microsoft icons not showing It was very simple. Right click on an empty space on the desktop and the following dialogue box appears: At the bottom you will see "show icon preview". When this was first opened - that is when I was having the problem of not seeing any of the microsoft icons- the box was ticked. I unticked that box as you can see here below and voila, all icons are not displayed on the desktop ! So simple ! Icons disappear from desktop and reappear. After latest update, my desktop icons disappear when I click on another document or file. How can I make them permanent so they don't vanish every time my mouse leaves for another file?

Icons stuck on desktop OSX 13.0 I moved some files from my desktop to another folder, using a Finder window open on the Desktop folder, as opposed to dragging them from the desktop itself. The files moved, no problem. However, their icons are still on my desktop now - not the desktop finder window. I can't move or interact with them, and if I try and change the desktop icon sizes and text size, those icons are affected as well as other actual icons pertaining files that are still on my desktop, but that's it.
