DVD home made to my I pad. No computer
I have found an old home made DVD with eight files on it. I don’t have a computer any more. Is there any way I can copy it to view it on my I pad? Thank you

No. The video DVD requires either DVD Player or VLC and they are not available for the iPad.
If you can rip the video DVD to a MP4 file with a DVD ripper app you can then copy the file to your iPad and play it. However, that would require a computer to do the ripping.
