Speakerphone

I want to put a call on the speaker sometimes and can’t find the speakerphone. On my iPhone 12.

iPad Listed as a Speaker Option on iPhone Calls Searching the web for solutions revealed that this has been a problem since OS 13. Has anything changed on OS 17? I clicked on at least 5 versions of this question throughout the community, and each had between 600-900 me tos. What I gather is that if I want the option to accept calls on my iPad, switching my iPhone call to speaker requires this convoluted inefficiency. Is there any way to keep the option to accept calls on my iPad AND switch calls on my iPhone with a single button press?

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

While on a phone call tap the audio button then tap on Speaker.

While on a call on iPhone

When you’re on a phone call, you can switch the audio to the speaker or a Bluetooth device. If you get another incoming call, you can respond or ignore it.
