Reminders in iOS 16.0.2

I am running an iPhone SE (new,) and on Sunday I restored my phone as new which updated my phone from 16.0.1 to 16.0.2.

I am now no longer getting notifications from Reminders, not even the 🔴 in the right corner of the app for past due reminders. When I went to Settings to toggle them off and back on, but Reminders is not listed.

Here are the list of things I have done:

-Restarted my iPhone

-Toggled Reminders off and back on from iCloud then verified Reminders is syncing with iCloud.

-Removed the Reminders widget.

-Reinstalled the Reminders widget.

-Disabled Scheduled Summary

-Deleted completed Reminders

-Uninstalled and reinstalled Reminders

-Reset all settings

I also tried going to iCloud.com to do a restore from Account Settings, but Reminders was not an option.

I am a heavy user of Reminders, so I am anxious to get this working again.

Good afternoon fnelson0,

We are happy to hear that Reminders are working on your iPhone again after restoring your iPhone from a backup. What is the issue you were dealing with originally?

It might be helpful for you to speak with an AppleCare technical advisor about all of this. Click the link below, choose the phone number for your region from the list, and call when it is convenient.

Greetings fnelson0,

You mentioned having gone to Settings > Notifications > Reminders to look at the settings there. Do you see an entry in Settings for Reminders? This wouldn't be in Notifications, just Settings. It would appear in a list by Notes, Voice Memos, Calendar, etc. If so, is Mute Notifications enabled at the bottom?

Do you have any profiles installed on your iPhone that may prevent access to these settings? You can verify that in Settings > General > VPN & Device Management Install or remove configuration profiles on iPhone

Thanks.

Thank you for responding. Yes, there is Settings > Reminders and I have checked there. Mute Notifications was off, and I even toggled it on and then back off. There are no VPNs or anything as I had restored it back to factory settings.

I also tried restoring my phone as brand new and using my iPad settings instead of manually setting it up, because the iPad has no issues with Reminders. However, my phone still did not show notifications for Reminders.

I also noticed that a lot of other default apps get a pop up asking me if I want to enable notifications, but Reminders was not one of them.

As a test, I restored my phone from the backup made Sunday before updating from 16.0.1 to 16.0.2 and Reminders works fine once again. Unfortunately, I still have to deal with the reason why I restored my phone as new in the first place.
