Pages froze at print screen... Wont restart or shut down. Quit did not work

iMac 27″, macOS 10.13

Press and hold the power button on the Mac until you get the dialog containing Reboot, or Shutdown. Do the latter and holding the shift key, reboot into Safe Boot mode. Press the shift key as you launch Pages and see if it will open the same document again. If it does, or does not, reboot normally, press the shift key while launching Pages and retry opening the same document.


Since you were attempting a print operation, are your vendor's printer drivers current for your operating system?
