I'm not a robot reCaptcha

I am able to access a specific site via the app on my iPhone, and I used to be able to access the same site through my MacBook computer; however, now I am unable to access the same site via my laptop. Every time I try to log in, after entering my user name and password, I get the reCaptcha box. I identify the photos as requested and click on the verify button. But the entire process recycles and I am presented with a new reCaptcha box to click and pictures to select. It goes on and on and on, and I continue getting the reCaptcha request with the pictures. I am not able to get through the reCaptcha to the site. (I can still access the site via my iPhone app.) I have spoken with the IT person at the site, and he has told me to update my laptop - which I have done. He then suggested that I de-select "cross site tracking," and I have also done that. He suggested that I try another browser, other than Safari, and I have tried. I even deleted file extensions from Safari preferences. I do not know what else to do, other than to stop using my laptop to access the site. Any help will be appreciated.

Oh, I have just spent another hour trying to "fix" this problem, but with no success. I don't find an actual ad blocker option, but I was able to block pop-ups - and I don't see anywhere to report a specific site url. I have contacted tech support with the banking institution in question, and unless they are able to figure out this snafu, I'm apparently only going to be able to access the site through my iPhone - not my desired option, for sure.

Delete all cookies associated with the website with the problem. Usually this can be done through the Privacy or Security preferences for the web browser being used. You may need to filter by the website's domain name. Each browser does this a bit differently. You can also try using the browser's "Private" mode which may sometimes prevent the browser from accessing previously saved cookies. How you do each of these things vary by each browser.

Are you using any anti-virus apps, cleaning apps, or third party security software which may be interfering with the normal operation of macOS? Try booting into Safe Mode to see if you have the same issue as this will prevent third party apps from launching automatically during boot and login.

Try creating a new macOS user account. Log out of the current macOS user account, then log into the new macOS user account. Do you have the same issue with the new macOS user account? If not, then you have some sort of issue with the main macOS user account (login item, or configuration issue).

Odd but any Banks of Financial / Investment Institution I have dealt with have started using Their Form of Trusted Device method. That is much like Apple Two Factor Authorization

That is not to say some Banks may use " reCaptcha " but have never experienced this.

If you can point us to the Bank via a link or at least the Name o this Bank, perhaps were can see what is happening from our end and report back our collective experience.

Have you rebooted the Mac?

Have you tried accessing the site while booted into Safe Mode? If you are using any anti-virus apps, cleaning apps, or third party security software, then these apps may be interfering with the normal operation of macOS.

Another thing to try is creating a new macOS user account. Log out of the main user account, and log into the new user account. How does it work with this new macOS user account?

Thanks for trying to help. The URL already starts with https://, so I tried changing it to http://. That didn't work, so I changed it back to https://, but neither URL makes any difference. I still get the repetitive reCaptcha - and as soon as I fulfill the request by selecting all of the pictures, and I click "verify," it returns to "I am not a robot" screen. So I tried that several times (again), but I got nowhere. :(

Absolutely…it’s bayerhfcu (Bayer Heritage Federal Credit Union). However, as I stated early on, I have no trouble getting in, with my iPhone through the app. It’s when I’m using my MacBook that I encounter the perpetual reCaptcha issue. Obviously it’s much easier to view the site using my laptop, and I have only recently encountered this reCaptcha problem. It makes no sense. Thanks for yourhelp!
