Changing Siri search engine in iOS

Is it possible to change the search engine that Siri uses for dictated internet searches? I’d like for Siri to use the search engine specified in Safari settings, DDG in my case, but Siri initiated searches only use Google.

Hey, bruno75, thanks for the help. I called Apple support today and they told me that the Siri search engine cannot be changed, unfortunately. This doesn’t seem right, to me, but that’s what I got. I was told that this issue got a “vote” for addressing in a future iOS update.

Hey there jcrawf3,

You can change the search engine used by Safari under Settings > Safari > Search Engine to the one you prefer to use.

If for some reason it still doesn't use DuckDuckGo when you change it to that option, we recommend a restart. Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart: Restart your iPhone

If the same issue remains, we recommend letting Apple know what you've tried, and they'll be in the best position to assist further with this: Get Support

Cheers!
