iPhone won't connect to CarPlay whilst using vpn. Wasn't a problem until ios16 update. It is clearly the issue as I turn vpn off and it works, on it stops, off it works....
I have read of others having this problem. Is it specific to the VPN (I use Express) or not? Is apple aware of this and is there a fix in the pipeline.

Thanks for testing this out with and without VPN connection. Since it works without VPN enabled, then the iPhone itself doesn't seem like the issue with connecting to CarPlay. We recommend that you get in touch with the admin who's available to help you with the VPN situation. It's possible the VPN is doing this for privacy and security purposes.
Also, you may need to contact your car's manufacturer for any possible updates on the software from their end.
