Why is music showing downloaded on iPhone Apple Music when I did not choose that?

When I tap on Downloaded in Apple Music, it lists quite a few playlists which I have NOT selected to be downloaded. (I have left Downloaded and gone straight to that playlist and verified that I have no chosen to download them.)

Further, again under Downloaded, it lists many other playlists that have not been downloaded. When I tap into those playlists (under Downloaded) it may only list 2 or 3 songs from those playlists.

I do not want playlists listed under Downloaded which have not been downloaded.

I especially do not want playlists listed under Downloaded that I have not downloaded that only have a few songs listed. That is extremely annoying.

Hello rowlandvilletexas,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. Do you recall downloading these play lists on another Apple device? We're asking as:

Music you add to iPhone is also added to other devices if you’re signed in to the iTunes Store and App Store using the same Apple ID and have Sync Library turned on (go to Settings  > Music, then turn on Sync Library).

If not, do you have "Sync Library", and "Always download music" turned on?

You must turn on Sync Library to download music from Apple Music to your library (go to Settings  > Music, then turn on Sync Library).
Always download music: Go to Settings > Music, then turn on Automatic Downloads.
Songs you add are automatically downloaded to iPhone.

For more information, please check his out: Add music to iPhone and listen offline - Apple Support

We hope this information is useful. Kind regards.
