Connection to Wifi after « erasing all » on a MacBook Air M1

Hi. So after « erasing all contents on my MacBook », at the moment of restarting it; they asked me to choose a wifi connection from the Menu Bar; but there was none, and the « next » option is greyed out. Can you help me solve this issue please?

Hi Ngwinutete,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities! You should be able to connect to Wi-Fi from the icon in the upper right corner of your screen.

If the Wi-Fi menu icon (in the upper-right corner of the screen) contains one or more bars , Wi-Fi is turned on and connected to a wireless network. If the Wi-Fi menu icon doesn’t contain any bars , Wi-Fi is turned on but isn’t connected to a wireless network. If the Wi-Fi menu icon has a slash through it , Wi-Fi is turned off. Wi-Fi needs to be turned on before you can join a wireless network.

- Use macOS Recovery on an Intel-based Mac

Clicking the Wi-Fi icon should allow you to enable Wi-Fi (if needed) and connect to your network. If you're not seeing that option, try connecting via Ethernet so that you can set your Mac up. Once you're connected to the network, you can continue with step 14 where you left off: Use Disk Utility to erase a Mac with Apple silicon.

Hope that helps!
