Internet Connection on imac

I have an iMac that I bought in 2016, had a new hard drive installed 12/2017. A few months ago around April of 2022, it would lose internet connection. After a couple of days it would reconnect for a few days, then kick off again. Determined it isn’t my internet, it’s the computer. Moved to another state, turned computer on, it connected immediately to the internet. Few hours later, kicked off again. Each time it kicks off I try to manually connect, but won’t do it. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
