In my phone on the screen icon of battery the percentage of battery is not shown beside the icon.

iPhone 11 is not a model which supports the battery percentage in iOS 16.

The devices that will not support the new feature include:

iPhone XR

iPhone 11

iPhone 12 Mini

iPhone 13 Mini
