Closing Apps

Why should you close an app only if it’s unresponsive? Doesn’t leaving it open affect battery usage? What is the impact of closing it immediately after use?

Does closing apps on an iPhone damage the device's battery? I have a habit of closing apps because it drives me crazy to see a whole line of apps when I want to quit one. Especially with Spotify because it keeps showing the music I was listening to on my main screen. But, someone recently told me that this is bad for the device's battery, so I want to know how it affects and if it is severe.

Force closing app/closing app for battery life So when you on a app and youve finished with it do i leave it running on the background or do i close it after im done with it does it damage your battery when closing the app or not what is the best way to effeciently save your battery life aswell as extend your battery health

Leaving it open costs less battery than force closing it. When it is open on the background it does nothing. When you force close it, there are a lot of processes going on in the background
