Search bar in Reminders app not working iOS 16

Just bought a new iPhone SE3 with iOS 16. When I search in the Reminders app, it is inconsistent…I can find certain words, but when I search other words I get no results. Same search works, on the same reminders works perfectly fine on my iPad. (These devices are on the same iCloud account). iPad is iOS 15.7 so could be a bug introduced in iOS 16?

Any clues / suggestions?

Hey there Joe,

We'd like to help rule out some possible causes for this unexpected behavior:

Looks like you have iOS 16 installed, but the latest version is iOS 16.0.2. You can verify this by clicking on the Apple logo at the top left corner of the screen, then on ‘About This Mac’. This link will show how to first back up, then Update macOS on Mac.
