Apple is not a bank or a financial institution.
Contact Goldman Sachs by phone or chat:
Well, first of all, the Apple Card is made out of metal (titanium), not plastic, so that might be why some card readers choke on it. It has both a chip and a swipe strip so it should work but who knows.

I already have the card. Wrong response. Certain credit card readers have rejected it for some unknown reason. The charges show "declined" on the vendors credit card machine, but show as pending on the app. This occured the other day, then the cashier asked if she could try it on her actual cash register and it went right through. She said it occurs pretty regular on the customer terminal, but almost always goes through when she uses the actual cash register.
I have no idea why that would be the case. Today it happened to my wife when trying to buy subway tickets from an automated ticketing terminal. After a few tries, she gave up and used her Chase credit card. Hard to believe I would ever have something nice about @Chase so someone at the big bank of Apple should probably figure out why this is happening.
my response was deleted because one of your responses was deleted. it is a card reader issue not an Apple issue.
