Has anyone had any luck with a usb-serial device driver for PROLIFIC chipset? (it is on a celestron telescope that i just bought). The drivers needed seem to only be valid up to MACOS 10.x... Specifically the PL2303HXD driver... or maybe someone has found an alternative driver for this?

On the UK Mac App Store I can't find the HXD version specifically but there is one for PL2303 - can't see when that was updated. Might it include other/all PL2303 variants?
I can't access the driver page which may require a login on the prolific site to see what is supported msc OS wise but can see the HXD was considered EOL in 2020. I think I saw a release from July 2021 - may be worth contacting them to see if further software updates are planned even if the bridge itself is no longer available.
Is there a Celestron forum you could try to see if there's a solution, potentially a different USB to serial/COM bridge?
