macOS 12 latest version not showing in software update

Hi!

I'm trying to update the macOS to the latest version on the new MacBook Pro 2021 but it's stuck on the version it came up with and Software Update screen says it's up to date:

The latest version is 12.6 so there's definitely something wrong.

Thanks

MacBook Pro

Intermediate Steps will be needed to bring the computer to a more updated version of Monterey.

Terminal again, only this time the below command and again without Quotation Marks

It will download the Full Version of Monterey 12.4 ( about 12.xx GB in size ).

It will place a new application in the applications Folder called " Install Monterey ".

It will No Auto Launch. Just launch the Application like another application and follow the prompts

" softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 12.4. "

Once the Monterey 122.4 is installed, hopefully successfully, try the Software Update Applet in System Preferences.

Hopefully if will offer and possibly the 12.6 version in a Normal Way.

If Not, adjust the above command to read 12.5.1 and repeat the process described above

Thank you.

Is this computer Owned by a Company, University or Organization which has Enrolled this computer in a Mobile Digital Management Service ( MDM ) ?

If not - to be honest - have not a clue why this method will not work except if there is some Third Party Software Installed and used on this computer that will not allow any type of Normal or Terminal Update to be performed.

Understand, we are all working Remotely from all around the world.

Therefore, we do not have the On-Hands experience the User ( you ) has with this computer.

The next best thing for us to having a semi - actual On-Hand experience  with this computer is to follow the steps below

Download the Application Etrecheck directly from the Developer.

The application is free or paid from added features.

It will take a Snap Shot -  both the hardware and software.
