Airbnb zoom

My Airbnb interface on safari on my MacBook Air has suddenly become larger - meaning the zoom in/out function on the map is partly obscured by the top banner and rendered unusable. I have tried everything. Resetting Safari, restarting the computer, zooming the page in and out. Looking up other hints. I've downloaded Chrome now and find it is fine on there. Any way I can get this back to normal? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for reaching out slupasko,

It sounds like this issue may be isolated to Safari on your Mac. Let's work through these steps: If Safari on Mac doesn't open a webpage or isn’t working as expected - Apple Support

If the behavior continues with Safari but the page works with another browser, check for available updates: Update to the latest version of Safari - Apple Support

If the behavior continues, reach out to Apple Support for further assistance: Contact - Official Apple Support

Take care.

Hi slupasko,

You could see if this same issue with Safari happens in a new temporary user: Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac - Apple Support This step will allow you to see if this is happening with Safari in any user on your MacBook Air or specifically your user.

Another step is to start up in safe mode and test to see if the issue happens there too. Safe mode only allows certain software to load, which can help isolate this further or even possibly resolve the issue. You can read more about that here: How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

If this is still happening after those steps, then please reach out to Apple Support for further assistance looking into this: Contact Apple Support

Best wishes.

Thanks for this. I wasn't fully updated - didn't have Mojave, but now do - but that doesn't seem to have made a difference in Airbnb - the visual is obviously slightly larger than intended, but this only happens on Safari. I've had to download Chrome in order to use Airbnb. Could it possibly be a (temporary) glitch between the way Airbnb is interacting with Safari? Can you see how the +- function in the top right appears? Ironically, the largeness is more visible on the actual screen, with '659 homes' touching the edge of the screen in an obviously awkward/unintentional way. Would Apple support really help me with this, without charging? It's annoying, but I don't want to spend too much energy trying to resolve it. More an annoying mystery I'd like to get to the bottom of. Has never done this before and just suddenly started. Many thanks, Scott
