Mail's "new message" sound plays randomly

Hi,

I've noticed a bug where the Mail notification sound plays randomly as I use my Mac. Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone know of a fix?

No Mail Notification Sound - Bug report! For some reason, some users don't get a notification sound for incoming mails with Apples official mail app (including me, obviously). I've had this bug since months. I'm still on Montery, but the bug isn't fixed with Ventura either, see this reddit thread. Mac Mail app plays additional, unwanted "Mezzo" alert sound No matter how I set "New Messages Sound" in Mail Settings, I also hear the "Mezzo" sound whenever new mail arrives. For every message there are two sounds—what I select AND Mezzo. (If I select Mezzo as my new mail sound do I not get two alerts, just the Mezzo once.) But I dislike Mezzo and want only the sound I prefer. I have booted into Safe Mode and nothing was different. How can I maintain my notifications but stop Mezzo? Thank you. Swoosh sound when sending mail in Apple Mail I noticed recently that the Swoosh sound is not happening when I send mail, even though I have it marked in Settings to sound. I do not have other sounds active, but definitely like knowing that my mail got sent. Any updates on this question yet? thanks.

The use may consider updating the existing version of Big Sur 11.5 to the current stable version 11.7

Then test again of the issue persists.
