i want to type in roman urdu, for this I wanted to download Urdu language in languages list, but I am unable to find Urdu there. while my other friends using same phone are having Urdu in their download list.

When I look at the info for GBoard in the app store, Urdu is NOT on the list of supported languages

Check with your friends again about exactly what they have on their phones.
Apple does supply its own Urdu keyboard. If you cannot find that, let us know.
