Apple TV and unwanted autoplay

Apple TV on all devices automatically plays the next episode of a series.

This should be a configurable item which allows the user to decide to turn off that feature. Not everyone wants the next episode of a series, or the next item in the watchlist, to play automatically upon the completion of the current show being watched.

That’s the point. Currently a person MUST respond manually to stop the auto play from happening, with a very short time to do so.

If one is in another room, asleep, or otherwise unable to do so quickly then the auto play starts the next show.

There are many reasons why one would not want this behavior by default, and having the ability to decide whether to enable or disable it should be up to the user.
