How do I stop syncing google photo and my apple devices?

Hi, I thought I would use Google Photo to back one photo album. I accidentally synced google photo with my devices and don't know how to "unsync." If I delete a photo on google photo it removes it from all my iPhone, Mac etc. Can this be fixed? I should never have gone to google, sorry!

How to delete google photos without deleting from iphone / cloud I just realized all my photos from my iphone are on google photos (which I never used voluntarily). Google will not allow me to just delete my photos from google, it insists on deleting on all devices and cloud. I stopped syncing/backup and have tried everything to delete but the delete button will NOT work on the web. I even downloaded the google photos app but when I delete, it says it will delete it everywhere. I feel like I'm being held hostage - how do I get this done???

Stop Apple photos going to Google photos from my Apple devices How do I stop photos on my Apple devices (Mac/ipad/iphone/icloud) going to Google photos? It fills up my Google storage that I seldom use (I use iCloud). If I delete photos from Google, it also removes them from my Apple devices. I never signed up for Google storage. After removing unwanted photos from Google it fills up again immediately, from my Apple photos as well as my wife's Apple photos from a separate Mac/ipad/iphone/icloud. Google only tells how to turn this process on, not turn it off (Google syncing and backup is turned off, but this continues anyways)

Google is like that, evil.

Copy or download your Google photos to a computer as a safety.

Uninstall Google Photos app from the phone.

A well designed app will offer to leave the photos on your phone, but if not you may have to recover them from the computer downloads .
