iPhone 14 Pro camera shaking

i just got iPhone 14 pro (not max) and when using Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok, 3rd party apps. The camera will sometimes buzz, rattle, and physically vibrate on the camera. ( kinda sounds like a bee 🐝)

it doesn’t seem to do it on the actual iPhone camera.

could be a software or hardware issue but

hopefully this gets fixed fast!

Seems like we are not able to use the camera on any app.

In an article I read from 9to5 Mac, Apple is aware of the issue and is working with the 3rd parties and expects to have an update out next week. This seems to stem from the OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) system not working properly with 3rd party apps.

The recommendation is to wait for an update and in the meantime, take your photos/videos using the iPhone Camera, then migrating the photos/videos over to the applications.

I too had this problem, I did some research and found that the newest update, iOS 16.0.2 fixes the camera issue shaking when using third party apps. The best thing to do would to be install this update. For the people that have the beta program software installed on their phones, they will not be able to install this update right away, as I was not able to. In that case you would have to back up the iPhone to iCloud, restore the phone from iTunes on a Mac or pc to remove the beta and to download the latest 16.0.2 update. The only bad thing with this is that when you go to restore your information, apple will force you to redo load the beta again, which put the problem back on this phone. So you hav to skip the set up and don’t restore from backup, then when on the Home Screen, then go into settings and sign back into your iCloud account and something like contacts, messages and photos will come back, oh and notes but not apps. This is the only way to completely remove the beta off the phone to down load the new update to fix the camera issue. In the mean time, I would try not to cause the camera to shake as much as possible, as it can cause damage to the camera and components in the phone.
