migration wizard/ app disappears

Hi

I bought a Macbook Air 2020 with M1 processor and 512MB of RAM. I am trying to transfer data from my Windows Laptop (a 2016 Spectre x360 running Windows 10). When i run the Migration Assistant on Windows, I am able to pair it to my Mac, but after some time it just vanishes and nothing happens. Anyone else have this issue, and have tips on what can be done?

I am mainly trying to move my iTunes library from my Windows to the Mac so I have continuity of usage. I also have a lot of documents and photos and some old pst (Outlook store) files.
