iCloud 2TB and apple one shared 200GB

So I’m paying for a family plan iCloud storage of 2tb. If I add the apple one plan shared that includes 200gb does that get added on, removed, combined… what happens? I’d prefer to not pay an extra $9.99 a month on top of the apple one plan.
