Unable to invite people to HomePod

I have set my family members up with their own iCloud email addresses!

Well that was a big deal and of course now the car is all set up and confirmed and working when I send invitations to these new family members they never ever received the invitation from Apple! Do your Apple if you actually want people to use this when I make it a little bit easier?
