Apple ID Verification Password Required

Just updated to IOS 16 on my iPhone 12 Pro but now each time I turn on the device, it asks me to enter the above. So far, I’ve tried the following to no success :

1) Turned off / back on

2) Soft / hard reset

3) Signed out / back in from icloud

4) Changed iCloud password (via handset and website)

5) Changed Apple ID (via website)

Reluctant to reset the handset but so far nothings worked so may need to try it. Before I do so, does anyone have any other suggestions for me?
