Video didn’t save. Please help!

I had a video recording on my iPhone 11 that was about 10 minutes long of my daughter meeting their newborn sister (obviously very important and irreplaceable!) When the video ended it did not save to the photo library. It is not in iCloud, and I had over 150gb of free space on my phone at the time of the recording. It seems like there was some sort of processing glitch between the time the recording ended to it showing up in the library. This has happened to me with shorter videos where there has been a delay in the video showing up, but it’s usually just a minute or two.

Is there a way for me to check if the file is still on my phone somewhere and it could be extracted or saved? I just got a new phone but I don’t want to wipe the other one until I can hopefully recover the video.

Hello ineedhelp1235,

We can understand wanting to recover such a memorable video. You might look in the Recently Deleted album in Photos app. Keep in mind that if iCloud Photos isn't enabled, it may not be there. If that's the case, there won't be a way to recover it.

If you're missing photos or videos in the Photos app - Apple Support

Check your Recently Deleted album

If you accidentally deleted your photo or video, it goes to the Recently Deleted album. Go to Photos > Albums, and tap Recently Deleted in the Utilities section.

Best regards.
