HomePod + Apple TV still doesn’t work

I just updated both Apple TV and HomePod to the latest version and they STILL don’t work together.

The volume still doesn’t work and HomePod still won’t connect as a default speaker - I have to go in settings every time to choose HomePod as a speaker and and the volume wont respond at all on the Apple remote when connect to the Apple TV.

I have reported this many times over the past year and a couple updates have gone by now already and still nothing. At this point I give up and considering going back to my Bose Revolve speaker which worked flawlessly every time.

Glad I didn’t buy more HomePods before I found this out.

Thanks Snoop.

I have three HD’s and two 4k’s. The 4k’s are connected to pro audio and sound are.

Unfortunately for me, the HomePod is for my kitchen setup with one of the HD’s, so I can understand the default setting not being available, but I should still be able to have a functioning volume control.

Yeah, that’s what I thought too. The tv is only a couple years old, so it should be compatible. The volume has worked on and off for a couple years now, but hasn’t worked at all for the last couple days. I can’t be the only one that has this issue.
