After updating to iOS16 I am not longer able to send messages using the chat group name. The chat groups are still there and I can find them doing a search, but if I type the group chat name on the send to line it does not show. This worked with iOS15.
is there a fix for this?

I found this answered at another forum ant it worked for me:
Make sure that the Messages app still shows as being part of Siri & Search. Here's how to do that:

You can change the search settings to limit which apps and results appear while you're searching. Here's how:
To turn off Siri Suggestions for all apps, go to Settings > Siri & Search, and turn off the settings you want. "
Same thing with me. 11pro just updated to iOS16. I’ve rebooted several times too.
