Legacy apps/MacOS updates

Is there someplace where I can find and download apps designed for High Sierra? I refurbed my old iMac and it's got High Sierra on it.

Also, what's the latest MacOS a 2011 21.5 iMac would support?

High Sierra/10.13.6 is the latest MacOS you can run.

Firstly you just need a more modern Browser than Safari on High Sierra like Firefox or Brave.

Look into the Free LibreOffice, it handles MS Office files like Word & Excel, & Page Layout…

Other than that we'd need to know what kind of Apps to make good recommendations.

I’m thinking more along the lines of Garage Band, stuff like that. The App Store no longer lists anything for High Sierra.

Yeah, you're out of luck on GB unless it's in your purchase history.
