Automatic Updates Not Working

Hello. I have noticed that my iPhone does not automatically update the software, despite having the setting turned on. I have to manually install updates to my phone. Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this? Thank you.

Hello Oblivion8480,

There are a couple of parameters that have to be met for the auto updates to engage:

  1. iPhone must be connected to charger
  2. iPhone must be connected to Wi-FI

Keep in mind that some updates will require you to manually start them. Also, iOS updates may be offered to different locations at different times to ease the traffic on the servers.

Have a good day.
