Screen customization isn’t available.

I press on my screen to customize it, but it only says to create a new Lock Screen. I can’t customize my existing one. Am I missing something?

Thats most likely your iOS 15 lock screen that migrated. You cannot edit that one, you will first have to create a new one

How to customize lock screen without creating a new one? (iOS 16) I have a wallpaper that isn't in my camera roll anymore. I can't find it full res. So, rather than making an entirely new one, I want to edit that one (or duplicate it to make it "new" and editable. Lock Screen Why can’t I just change the Lock Screen image without needing to also change the home screen image? This part of whatever update this rolled out on never made sense to me.
