CUP on Lock Screen widget won’t change!

I’ve tried everything to get the world clock widget on my iPhone to change from Cup for Cupertino to another (any other!) city but keep failing. Cupertino is not listed in my World Clock list of places or in the Weather app. My date and place in Settings are set to London ( or automatic) and I have turned the iPhone on and off. Nothing but nothing will stop this phone showing CUP on the Lock Screen as the city for showing the time. Can anyone help?

It looks like the default is Cupertino (CUP) but you can customize the lock screen then within that customization view you can customize the city you want to display the time for within this widget.

From the lock screen, you can touch and hold the screen to bring up the Collections view that has Customize at the bottom.

Selecting Customize brings you into that particular screen's customization view.

Then touch and the widget to bring up individual customization options for the sub-widgets.

Then touch the CUP widget to bring up a city search list to pick your particular city and select it.

You should now see your preferred city in this widget and can go out of the customization area to see it on the lock screen.

For no reason at all the widget suddenly decided it would accept changes after all! Baffling and time consuming. Presumably software still buggy and will hopefully be sorted out
