How do I get rid of my music playing on Apple Music taking up my whole lockscreen????

The music playing on Apple Music takes over my entire lockscreen. Not only is it ugly but it’s also impractical…. Is there any way to get rid of this? I’d like to see my actual chosen lockscreen.

Hi turtlturtlturtl,

Can you tell us the model of your device and which version of iOS you’re currently running?

Identify your iPhone model

Find the software version on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod

Having this information can help us with possible next steps towards finding a solution.

In the meantime, have you tried restarting your device to see if that has a positive impact on the issue that you’re experiencing? If not, please try that step and let us know how it goes.

Restart your iPhone

While a restart can seem unimportant, it can actually resolve many minor issues with the device.

Spent a lot of time configuring multiple lockscreens. Now when I click it on it gets obliterated if I'm playing music ON ANY DEVICE! I closed the iphone music app and am sending the music through my 5 speakers from the iPad. Music still showing up on the iPhone lockscreen! Apple still thinks the phone is a glorified iPod? I don't want to see it, I want to see my lockscreen.

I didn't get a screen of the full blackout of the music widget, but I have this other small one I still don't want to see. I've scoured all the configs in the lockscreen widget editing, the Notifications, and the Music settings options. Sigh.
