Family sharing share location not working

I have family sharing set up and my mother and I share locations with each other. In the “find my” app, my moms location doesn’t show under the people tab, it only shows up in the devices tab. i show up in her people tab in find my… is this an issue that I can fix somehow?

I have always been able to see their location under people on find my and be able to see the location of their accessories (Apple watches, AirPods, etc) under the devices tab. Well my teenage son’s location just recently started being weird. I can see his phones location under the people category but that same phone, as well as his other devices are not locating under the devices tab. Family Location Sharing My child's phone is not sharing location data. I have followed all of the steps to enable location sharing and Find My indicates it is on and sharing the information. Additionally, my child's Find My app does not show the people tab. Is it not up to date?

How share location if using a shared apple id across multiple iphones I have my kids using my own Apple ID on their own iPhones. If they want to share their location with friends on the Find My app, it winds up sharing my location. I know how to differentiate the iPhones using the Family method, but I'm thinking I wouldn't want to use that option when they are sharing their location with friends. Is there a way to do this?
