Ever since i got my iphone there was always smooth fade out to black while locking screen, now after update it does not do this anymore. For a day it was working ok, now it is not. Im using Iphone 11 PRO MAX.

It is going instantly to black screen without that smooth fade to black. Also I saw that sometimes it does fade to black and sometimes not. Idk what causes this problem but it’s weird. One day it works and another day it does not work.

Check and see if you have Reduce Motion turned on using the steps here: Customize iPhone for motion sensitivities - Apple Support
1. Go to Settings> Accessibility > Motion.
2. Turn on or off any of the following controls:
•Reduce Motion: Reduces the motion of the user interface, including the parallax effect of icons.
If you have sensitivity to motion effects or screen movement on your iPhone, you can stop or reduce the movement of some screen elements, such as:
•Parallax effect of wallpaper, apps, and alerts
•Screen transitions
•Siri animations
•Typing autocompletion
•Animated effects in Messages
If this isn't the case, contact Apple Support for further help.

If your iPhone does not fade to black, what specifically does it do now? For example, are you still able to lock and unlock the iPhone?
