iCloud email compromised

Tired of Apple after 30 years Said:

"iCloud email compromised: General Motors was hacked several months ago and user accounts were compromised. As a result, I am getting nearly 200 phishing emails per day. Nothing stops these emails, many of which go into the junk folder but I still get dozens into my inbox.[...]I’m not sure how I can delete the iCloud email address.[...]"

Troubleshooting Scam Messages:

Use an Alias:

Unfortunately, you can only have one iCloud eMail address. So, you may want to use an alias. You can have up to 3 aliases. Everything would be kept, but your eMail would be different. You cannot turn off your current iCloud Account.  Go Here: Add and manage email aliases for iCloud Mail on iCloud.com - Apple Support.

Secure your Info:

If concerned for device access, then (A)verify your devices, and (B)secure your account. Open a new eMail addressee d use that for your Apple ID.

1. Verify your Devices:

Verify that all devices are logged in to your account, by using this link: Check your Apple ID Device List to See where you're Signed in - Apple Support

then...

2. Modify your Credentials:

Having been stollen, someone lily has your credentials. So, by all means, modifying them.

• Modify: your login credentials (Using Both a New eMail and a New Password for each and all sites)
• Associate: a different method of payment to your account
• Enable: Two-Factor Authentication for Apple ID and for all other accounts that have such an applicable option
