iOS 16 lockscreen wallpaper change

I want to change (only) lockscreen wallpaper. So I select wallpaper I like, but iOS force me to change it also on homescreen, and in addition I lost my widgets on lockscreen. So if want to change (only) lockscreen wallpaper, I have to backup my current homescreen wallpaper, than make a new lockscreen with new wallpaper on it, put there all the widgets again (from now on I have new wallpaper on both screens) and additionally I have to manually change the homescreen wallpaper from my backup? Am I dumb or I'm missing something? Or this is really intentional?

Thanks for responses.

So far as I can tell you can edit your Lock Screen but your Home Screen will automatically become a blur of the Lock Screen. Just another crApple downgrade.

Another downgrade is Bluetooth performance in the car. I have a new iPhone 14 but Apple says in order to enjoy the performance I used to I have to upgrade the car. Honda says to upgrade the car I have to buy a new one. SO typical for crApple. I no longer have a display of the song or artist or album using Bluetooth.

The third downgrade I have discovered in the first week of ownership of this 14 is that the scrub editing feature now works only on the space bar occasionally.

So I figure that out. It's quiet dumb implemenation by Apple, but it has solution..

Problematic is only if you want to use some of Apple stock wallpapers for lockscreen. If so, you are really forced to change homescreen wallpaper as well.

(This procedure doesn't work for lockscreen + homescreen wallpapers you have from iOS15 to iOS16 transition or Apple stock wallpapers)

First You just have to make new lockscreen.

Use some of your photos as lockscreen wallpapers.

Than you can decide if you want same picture as homescreen wallpaper, or you can choose different one.

From now on, if you want to edit or change lockscreen wallpaper, you can do so by only long press on lockscreen you want to edit, and than in left corner below is already button which will bring you to your gallery here you can choose your wallpaper - but as I mentioned, this procedure doesn't work for Apple stock lockscreen wallpapers and your old lockscreen+homescreen you brought from iOS15 as I mentioned before.

I hope my explenation is understandable..
